Legislative Update – April 24, 2015

There have been 1365 bills and 138 various resolutions filed in the House. 
And, there have been 568 bills and 57 various resolutions filed in the Senate.

Highlights of the Week:
HB 190 – The abortion clinic inspection bill which changes the laws regarding the protection of women's health care.  Executive Session was Held in the Senate Veterans’ Affairs and Health Committee on Thursday, April 23rd.  HB 190 Voted Do Pass.    Sponsor: Kathy Swan

SB 24 – Awaiting Governor’s Action……CCS HCS SS #2 SCS SB 24 which modifies provisions of law relating to the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. SB 24 includes the additional 2% of funding for the Alternatives to Abortion Program that will add an additional $4.3 million for the Alternatives to Abortion Programs to spend each year.  Missouri Right to Life supported this additional funding.
