Missouri House Gives Final Approval to Pro-Life Legislation that will Protect Women and Unborn Babies

Missouri Right to LifeMemo from Missouri Right to Life:

Missouri Right to Life applauds the Missouri House of Representatives for giving final approval, by a vote of 115 to 43, to HB 46 & 434.

“This legislation ensures that a woman considering an abortion is offered the opportunity to view an ultrasound, that she is given information about the development of her unborn baby, and that she understands that no one can force, threaten or coerce her into having an abortion. She will also be given information on alternatives to abortion,” said Pam Fichter, President.

“We thank the sponsors, Rep. Cynthia Davis (R-19) and Rep. Bryan Pratt (R-55), and all the House Members that voted to advance this pro-life legislation that will save lives and protect expectant mothers. We call upon the Senate to protect Missouri women and their unborn babies by passing HB 46 & 434, and call on Governor Nixon to sign this bill into law.” said Fichter.

The companion bill, SB 264 sponsored by Rep. Robert Mayer (R-25), has passed the Missouri Senate committee, is on the Senate calendar for perfection, but has not yet been scheduled for debate by the full Senate.
