National Right to Life President, Carol Tobias, writes:
The beautiful Missouri state capitol building sits on the banks of the Missouri River in Jefferson City. On Tuesday, hundreds of pro-lifers from the Show Me state gathered at the capitol for the “Show Me Life” Pro-life Action Day.
At this annual event organized by Missouri Right to Life (MRL), pro-lifers from around the state, many in red shirts, many arriving on buses, come to lobby in support of legislation to protect unborn children, the elderly, and the medically vulnerable.
…
At the rally, I reminded those gathered that Missouri has a long history of challenging Roe v Wade. It was a Missouri law that was upheld by the Supreme Court in 1989, Webster v Reproductive Health Services, that sent shock waves through the abortion movement. News articles were written that the nation’s abortion law had been weakened; Roe v Wade should no longer be considered “settled law.”
